Victorian developer, Lotus Living, is capitalising on the regional tourism boom, launching sales of its new $35m, 120-room hotel and serviced apartment facility at its resort-style lifestyle development, Silverwoods in Yarrawonga, known as The Point, Resort Apartments.
The serviced apartments represent an astute blue-chip investment in Moira Shire, offering keys to investors with a fixed annual return of seven per cent.
Designed by renowned design firm, COX Architecture, The Point, Resort Apartments is the premier luxury offering at Silverwoods, which is transforming into the Murray River’s most in-demand entertainment, restaurant, and waterfront living precinct.
The complex will be managed under a franchise agreement by The Sebel banner of Accor Hotels - an international operator with over 4,200 hotels across 95 countries globally.
Tourism Research Australia recently announced that tourism in Sun Country in the Murray River Region is up 26.2 per cent on the year ending June 2016. Tourism Research Australia also revealed that domestic visitors to Sun Country spent over $231m in the region in the same period.
Lotus Living director, Daniel Smith, says the launch is a proud moment for the company, as The Point, Resort Apartments marks an important step not only for the community but also in the transformation of Yarrawonga, and will provide significant additional amenity to the surrounding region.
“We are proud to be contributing to the evolution of Yarrawonga. The Point, Resort Apartments will deliver substantial benefits to the township as it continues to flourish as a premier holiday, conference and mini-getaway destination in northern Victoria,” said Smith.
Statement finishes such as raw steel in the bathrooms, and the expansive timber bar, further reference the agricultural vernacular.
The project will include pedestrian and cycling connectivity between Yarrawonga and The Point.
Hutchinson Builders, one of Australia’s most highly regarded construction companies, has been appointment to undertake the project. Construction is expected to commence early in 2018, with construction completion expected in time for Christmas 2019.
“This is an exciting time for the local community, and we are looking forward to breaking ground in early 2018,” said Smith.
