The popular Alfred & Constance pub and bar in the Fortitude Valley, which was owned by Damian Griffiths, has sold to a Brisbane-based private investor in a deal brokered by CBRE Hotels agents Paul Fraser, Hayley Manvell and Wayne Bunz.
The retro-fitted 473sqm Alfred & Constance, set within two ‘Queenslander’ style buildings incorporating a gastro-pub, beer garden, café, restaurant and Fever Night Club, was sold by CBRE Hotels agents Paul Fraser, Hayley Manvell and Wayne Bunz following an Expressions of Interest campaign.
Queensland Director Paul Fraser told WILLIAMS MEDIA, “The investment fundamentals for a high-profile corner site in a metropolitan city are highly sought after. As such, the sales campaign attracted a huge amount of enquiries from a range of national food and beverage operators, funds and investors.”

“This sale will also provide a boost for Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley precinct, off the back of the recent refresh of the Limes Hotel and the reopening of the rooftop bar,” Ms Manvell added.
Alfred & Constance will be operated by RMS Group, led by Managing Director Donna Di Santo.
“We are very excited to welcome Alfred & Constance into the RMS family and look forward to creating a new hub of social activity within the iconic space. Our team is working hard behind the scenes while we get to know the locals and the venue over the coming months. We then hope to restore the pub to its former glory with a planned renovation set to occur in the second half of 2019,” Ms Di Santo Said.
