Winton has proposed a 113-room hotel for the Northlake community, a residential development in Wanaka, in New Zealand's South Island.
The proposed hotel will be positioned near the growing Village Centre where Monkey Farm Bar and Eatery and Pinnacles Early Learning Centre are already serving Wanaka locals. And like the Village Centre, carparking for guests of the has been incorporated into the plans for the complex.
Chris Meehan, Winton CEO, said, “we believe the high-quality guest experience to be offered by the proposed hotel in Northlake will embrace the growing number of visitors to the Wanaka region. Given the location of Northlake, we anticipate guests will fit in well with Northlake locals as they utilise and enjoy the outdoor activities the area has to offer”.
The three levels will encompass 113 well-appointed guest rooms, along with an inviting restaurant and lounge bar, gym, spa and laundry.

Designed by Studio Pacific Architecture to settle into the local landscape and complement the surrounding natural and built environment.
Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the ski and bike storeroom located within the hotel, along with the drying room for those winter months.
The much-loved tennis court will be relocated to a proposed recreational space many times larger than the current area. The new reserve will include a basketball half-court, outdoor fitness equipment set along a fitness trail, a family BBQ area and a large spacious grassed area to play recreational sports.
Northlake Investments engaged with Council staff and Queenstown Lakes District Council appointed consultants during the pre-application discussion to understand and address their considerations before lodging the resource consent application with QLDC in late 2018. The site is zoned in the District Plan for a range of residential and commercial activities, including visitor accommodation.
