Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach has announced it is embarking on an exciting multi-million dollar renovation as part of its ongoing commitment to adapt, innovate and transform, to meet the needs of the evolving modern traveller.
The beachside hotel will be creating contemporary, energizing zones for business and leisure guests to work, network and play, with the main project works taking place from today to October 2019.
All 209 guestrooms are being re-imagined with a redesign and fit-out of bathrooms, as well as premium beds, carpet, drapes and a subtle colour palette that complements the blue hues of the stunning beachside surrounds. Plus, 10 new guestrooms are being added, with the hotel boasting a total of 219 rooms by the end of the refurbishment.
Blending modern design and seaside chic, guests will also enjoy a new lobby and arrival experience that enables socialising and collaboration, all-new concepts for the restaurant and bars, and flexible, tech-savvy meeting rooms.
Gareth Long, Area General Manager, IHG Sydney Central, said: “Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach has been a much-loved icon in the Sydney beachside community for many years. Guests feel at home with the inviting and relaxed ambiance, yet know they will receive world-class service and facilities – no matter if it’s an easy weekend escape, a major conference or to cheer on their favourite sports team.
“The refurbishment will elevate our offering to new heights, while retaining the warmth and character we are renowned for. The location, engaging and personalised service, matched with a premium accommodation experience will see the hotel become the go-to beachside destination in Sydney.”
During the renovation period, the hotel will remain open; however will operate with limited Hotel Facilities.
Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach looks forward to revealing the full transformation just in time for summer in late 2019.
