Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach to be built by Schiavello Construction
Schiavello have commenced construction on the multi-million-dollar hotel refurbishment and will be delivering a contemporary, state-of-the-art space for guests to work, rest, and play - while retaining the hotel's historic charm. All 209 guestrooms are being reimagined, with an additional 10 being built.
Guests will also enjoy a new lobby and arrival experience, all-new concepts for the restaurant and bars, and flexible, tech-savvy meeting rooms.
Schiavello continues to be one of the industry’s most trusted partners for Hospitality and Hotel projects. Backed by this extensive experience, Schiavello understood Crowne Plaza’s need to streamline the delivery, whilst implementing a staged delivery to maximise their revenue.
Having delivered the Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach test suite, the Schiavello team brings lessons learnt, knowledge sharing and a sound understanding of the client's operations. This, along with their technical expertise, ensures that Crowne Plaza will receive exceptional and consistent quality within an accelerated programme.
"We are thrilled to be the partner of choice for such an iconic Sydney venue. Our priority will be the comfort of their [Crowne Plaza's] guests and maintaining the day-to-day operations of the hotel while bringing their ambitious vision to life," says Schiavello NSW State Director, Christopher Schiavello.
With the hotel remaining fully operational throughout the refurbishment works, the Schiavello team will pay special attention to minimise both structure-borne and airborne noise, work zone cleanliness, and ensuring the highest standards in safety management.
Gareth Long, Area General Manager for IHG Sydney echoes this excitement; "Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach has been a much-loved icon in the Sydney beachside community for many years, with the refurbishment elevating our offering to new heights."
With the entire construction process slated to take less than three months, guests will be enjoying an abundance of new facilities in time for summer.
