Eugéne Human has been appointed General Manager of Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbour ahead of its opening in May.
Mr Human takes the reigns of the new-build 152-room hotel after more than three years as General Manager at Holiday Inn Sydney Airport, prior to which he was Hotel Manager at Holiday Inn Potts Point and General Manager at ibis Styles Geraldton.
He said he was "incredibly proud" to be leading the team and bringing Crowne Plaza back to Sydney’s CBD after a 10-year hiatus.

Situated on the corner of Bathurst and Sussex Street, the new-build hotel features 152 design-led, modern and spacious guestrooms, a rooftop heated infinity pool, 24 hour fitness centre, multiple dining venues and event spaces which can accommodate 170 people banquet-style.

From modern Italian cuisine served in La Bella Restaurant & Bar, to cocktails and nightcaps in 288 on Sussex or breakfast to-go at Cafe 58, each of the hotel’s venues incorporates communal tables, wireless charging, dietary conscious menus and sustainable practices, including no single-use plastic straws or plastic bottles.
The hotel is the first in the Pacific to feature the "Future of Crowne Plaza" design unveiled by IHG last year.
