Wyndham Hotels and Resorts CEO Geoff Ballotti said the initiative was a way to say "thank you" to the individuals that had been performing "herculean tasks in the face of danger".
“We’re humbled to honour such a deserving group of individuals," he said
“This is one small way we can help make their next trip—whether it be to visit loved ones, friends, or simply to get away—as special as it deserves to be."

His sentiments were echoed by Wyndham's President and Managing Director for South East Asia and the Pacific Rim, Joon Aun Ooi, who said there had been countless examples of frontline workers, as well as unsung heroes, who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.
“As we continue to navigate through the uncertain and evolving situation, we are extremely grateful for the dedication and sacrifices of all frontline individuals providing essential services around the world," he said.
"This is a small gesture from us to say 'thank you' to these individuals for keeping us safe during these trying times."
