Holiday Inn Potts Point and the InterContinental Sydney Double Bay are among the hotels providing relief to Australian communities during Covid-19 as part of InterContinental Hotel Group's global True Hospitality for Good program.
Australian hotels are stepping up COVID-19 relief efforts in line with a new global partnership program from InterContinental Hotels Group.
Designed to provide support food bank and food provision charities across 70 countries to assist those most in need during the COVID-19 crisis, the True Hospitality for Good initiative consists of a direct donation from IHG that allows the food banks and food distribution sites to administer more funding, training, technical assistance and resources they need.
For every $1 donated, Foodbank Australia is able to provide $6 worth of food for people in need.
This latest program builds on the successful partnership IHG has with OzHarvest in Australia, where an increase in demand is already being felt for their services in providing meals to the most vulnerable.

Launch of the ‘Heroes’ discount code
To help take care of those who are taking care of us, IHG’s ‘Heroes’ rate code offers discounts to personnel who are on the frontlines of relief efforts.
On top of this, InterContinental Sydney Double Bay is holding 20 rooms every night free of charge for healthcare workers at nearby hospitals who may need extra support or a safe place to sleep close by.
