A freehold hotel in the NSW township of Paterson has been sold with vacant possession to a Maitland-based buyer through Nick Lane of Knight Frank.
The Court House Hotel in the Lower Hunter region of NSW is set to be brought back to life after being sold to a Maitland-based buyer for an undisclosed amount prior to auction.
Situated in the rural township of Paterson, the freehold property has not been operational for the past 12 months, despite occupying a high-profile main street position only 25 minutes drive from the Maitland CBD.
But selling agent Nick Lane of Knight Frank told WILLIAMS MEDIA the new owner had already signalled their intention to bring the pub back to its former glory.

"They are looking to expand the offering, in terms of food service and entertainment to make it a bit more of a family experience," he said.
Comprising a total site area of 3,690 square metres, the historic hotel includes a public bar and cool room, outdoor and barbecue areas, kitchen, four bed-sit accommodation units, two-bedroom managers residence, as well as a sizeable rear yard and development envelope.
Mr Lane said he had been "pleasantly surprised" the venue had been sold a week ahead of its scheduled auction on July 2.
"With pubs being significantly impacted as a result of the COVID-19 shutdown, I wasn't sure what the reaction from the market would be like," he said.
"It ended up being a really strong campaign with about 12 inspections and we were very fortunate to have a party come in strongly and exchange contracts."
