CBRE Hotels has reinforced its Capital Markets investment sales team with the appointment of Raymond Tran as Director.
CBRE Hotels has added a new director to its ranks with the appointment of Raymond Tran.
Based in Sydney, Mr Tran brings over 23 years of experience in hotel operations, project management, asset management and investment sales working with a number of hotel brands including Minor Hotels, Choice Hotels International, Marriott International and Accor.
He told WILLIAMS MEDIA he was looking forward to helping those within the industry navigate the current climate.
"Whilst Australian hotels are currently facing adversity, operators and owners have been presented with an opportunity to reset and reposition their businesses to take advantage of the upsides that will materialise, namely with domestic travellers in the short term," he said.
"On the investment side, there is a burgeoning flight of capital looking for opportunistic acquisitions within the Australian hotel market.”
The CBRE Hotels team is the largest in the Pacific region, with representation in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Auckland.
Managing Director Michael Simpson said Mr Tran's extensive track record within the industry made him a welcome addition.
"Raymond is well-known for his diverse experience and multi-faceted skillset," he said.
“He is also regarded as the leading hotel market expert within the Asian real estate community in Australia.”
