Quest has announced that a new apartment hotel will open at Palmerston North on New Zealand's North Island from next month.
Quest Apartment Hotels has put renewed faith in the tourist market of Palmerston North on New Zealand's North Island, announcing the opening of a new location within the region next month.
A joint venture between local iwi, Rangitāne o Manawatū and Wallace Development, Quest Palmerston North includes studios, one and two-bedroom apartments and features suitable amenities for both long and short term guests.
The 40-apartment building replaces the replacing the existing Quest hotel in Palmerston North and is positioned in the city's CBD with proximity to Palmerston City Library, Jetts gym, and the Manawatu River Walkway, Victoria Esplanade and Lido Aquatic Centre.

Quest Group General Manager Adrian Turner told WILLIAMS MEDIA the updated venue reflected the city's progress within New Zealand's tourism market.
"We decided to do a new property in Palmerston North because we saw the economic growth that was happening in the region," he said.
"We felt that the existing product that has served us so well needed to be at the standard of properties we have opened recently at Quest on Manchester in Christchurch and Quest Tauranga Central."
The one and two-bedroom apartments offer amenities such as kitchens, laundry facilities, internet access on-demand.
Guests also have the option of local restaurant chargeback arrangements and a pantry shopping service.
Quest New Zealand CEO Stephen Mansfield described the property as a "boon for the whole community".
"We expect Quest Palmerston North to attract more business and leisure travellers to the area, and the serviced apartments we offer encourage guests to patronise local businesses for groceries, meals and to experience local attractions, so it’s an exciting development for the whole area around Palmerston North,” he said
“Of course, a busy hotel also means jobs, and hiring locals helps our guests have the best possible experience with us - they get the inside information on what to do in their free time while they’re staying at the property.
Quest Palmerston North will be the first project completed by Rangitāne o Manawatū following its Treaty Settlement, which came into effect in 2017.
Ruma Karaitiana, Chair for Rangitāne o Manawatū Investment Trust said the venue would become the "foundation of a new economic future for the Iwi in Manawatū".
Quest Palmerston North will welcome guests from August 12.
