The Gateway Hotel in the Far North Queensland town of Mareeba has been sold through Savills Hotels National Director Tony Bargwanna and Senior Executive Christian Tsalikis.
Savills has announced the off-market sale of the Gateway Hotel in Far North Queensland for an undisclosed amount.
Situated in Mareeba, the hotel has undergone an extensive refurbishment at the hands of the Howe family, which purchased the venue in 2015.

According to Savills, the family will go back to focusing on its farming operation, following its foray into hospitality.
While the buyer has not been disclosed, Savills Senior Executive Christian Tsalikis said the party was a national hotel group that had been strategically matched to the venue.
"The asset was super well presented and offered good revenue streams via multiple departments," he said.

Mr Tsalikis negotiated the transaction with Savills Hotels National Director Tony Bargwanna.
It comes less than a week after Savills announced the sale of the Townsville Brewery, also through an off-market sale.
