Property owners requiring access to capital is nothing new.
What has evolved are options available to them, with leases able to be purchased from an owner, allowing them to re-invest money into diversifying their real estate portfolio, paying off debt, or growing their business.
Such is the foundation of LDC Infrastructure, a lease acquisitions company that works with a range of different clients throughout Australia.
Head of Operations (Australia) Harley Mckenzie told WILLIAMS MEDIA there has been increased demand for the service in the current climate.
1.How was LDC Infrastructure started and how long has the business been operational?
LDC started in Australia in 2015 and has quickly established a market leading presence. Our parent company Landmark Dividend has been operating in North America and Europe for over 10 years.
2. How has the business evolved since that time?
Our company has been very dynamic and flexible to adapt to the rapidly changing market conditions that we see in all the industries in which we operate. Whilst our focus has traditionally been the telecommunications and outdoor advertising industry; our company is now one of the largest owners of land under renewable energy projects and data centers in the USA.
3. Has the make up of your clientele changed much throughout that time?
Our clientele has remained relatively consistent over the period as we continue to service small property owners with only one lease all the way up to multinational corporations with many business interests in multiple jurisdictions . As our business has evolved and rapidly grown into new markets as mentioned above this has brought in more clientele with an institutional investment focus.
4. What do you see as the future of LDC infrastructure going forward?
Continuing to expand, adapt and provide a nimble service to meet our customer needs. The industries we operate in are continually evolving so we need to do the same to provide a premium service. We will continue with a laser focus on our core industries but are always looking for new markets to operate in. The future is looking very bright.
5. Do you believe the need for your services is growing?
Very much so. Astute property owners are always looking to redeploy capital to its best and highest use and as the industries we operate in continue to grow at a rapid pace new opportunities continue to present themselves. Not only that, but since the COVID-19 pandemic, we are seeing more businesses squeezed by the financial pressures of the last 12 months come to us for help. A deal with LDC is likely to yield a much needed cash injection and we feel fortunate to be in the position where we can do so during these hard times.
