Norton’s Irish Pub in Leichhardt sold off market for circa $24m by JLL Hotels Managing Director, John Musca and Senior Vice President, Ben McDonald.
Highlighting the ongoing sales success of the national brokerage team, JLL Hotels and Hospitality Group are proud to announce the off-market sale of Norton’s Irish Pub in Leichhardt for circa $24m – the 5th sale in as many weeks for the pub brokerage specialists.
The dynamic, freehold going concern asset was sold on behalf of private hotelier and industry identity, Peter Walker to hospitality leaders, Merivale, who add weight to their growing stable of Inner West hotel assets including The Vic on the Park in Marrickville, Queens Hotel in Enmore and the 3 Weeds Hotel in Rozelle, set to reopen this spring after a complete revamp.
Norton’s Irish Pub, formerly known as Norton’s on Norton, offers immediate exposure to Sydney’s burgeoning Inner West with key investment attributes including significant scope for refurbishment, late trading approval, attractive business mix and dominant ‘high street’ location on Parramatta Road and Norton Street.
JLL Hotels Managing Director, John Musca and Senior Vice President, Ben McDonald negotiated the transaction with the asset hotly contested by some of Sydney’s most prominent hotelier’s and hospitality groups.
“We're delighted to facilitate another off-market transaction on behalf of the private owners to widely respected industry stakeholders, Merivale, who continually seek to enhance and support a much- loved industry”, McDonald said.
Mr Musca suggested, “The sale comes on the back of an extraordinary period of capital flow to the sector evidencing over $1 billion of pub hotel sales in F21 to date, with no sign of abatement and with a sense of fervour surrounding the pending ALH Endeavour Group IPO”.
