Whilst the reopening of domestic and international borders comes as welcomed news for the sector after an unprecedented two years, certain challenges have presented when it comes to reopening to full capacity, from personnel shortages to supply chain problems.
Industry experts from STR, Accor and JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group will present on the trends unfolding in the Queensland accommodation market, share industry insights and discuss how these challenges are being addressed.
The webinar will commence with STR’s Paul Hammond providing an update on the accommodation market’s performance with the latest statistics and trends. Renae Trimble, Chief Commercial Officer at Accor, will then discuss how Asia Pacific’s largest hotelier is dealing with the challenges of gearing back up now that we are seeing positive take up in hotel occupancy.
JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group’s Gareth Closter will discuss how this is impacting transactions and the market for hotel and accommodation-based assets in Queensland.
“Bringing a motel, hotel or resort back to full operation isn’t a simple task but now the guests are returning in earnest – this is the challenge for operators” Mr Closter said. “All stakeholders in the industry, from large scale resort owners to regional owner-operator moteliers, will benefit from this discussion.”
The webinar will be live on Wednesday 30 March 2022 at 11am (AEDT).
