With the recent introduction of new short-haul international flights to Canberra Airport, the city is expected to see continued growth in tourism arrivals, welcoming direct routes from Doha and Singapore. Furthermore, according to the 2018/19 State Budget, the city is on track to achieve its goal of $2.5 billion in overnight visitor expenditure per annum by 2020.
The Canberra accommodation market has seen growth in both occupancy and ADR over the previous four years, with RevPAR growth of over 4% through 2018.
