Nesuto’s million-dollar renovations are underway - set to increase inventory of its Auckland Stadium property by almost 50% when finished in January 2020.
Steps away from Britomart, Princess Wharf and the Auckland Waterfront, the Nesuto's upgrade will transform 72 two-bedroom apartments into 144 hotel rooms.
In addition to the current mix of hotel rooms ranging from studios, one and two-bedroom apartments, the total number of keys at Nesuto Stadium Apartment Hotel Auckland will increase to 244.

The total value of the upgrade, which is currently underway and executed in partnership with owner Mulpha, is in excess of NZD12.5 million. The project, managed by Cequent and built by Waide Construction, will be finished by January 2020.
According to the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE) 2018-2024 report, international travellers to New Zealand are forecast to reach 5.1 million visitors in 2024 (from 3.7 million in 2017, up 37.1 per cent). This equates to a growth rate of 4.6 per cent per year.
“We are delighted with the feedback to date we have received on our brand in New Zealand,” says Mark Ronfeldt, CEO of Nesuto Daiwa Living Group.
“Feedback tells us our guests embrace the Nesuto concept and this is a reflection particularly on our Team that are empowered to represent the brand.”
“Auckland continues to grow as the major corporate, events and tourism destination in New Zealand. Mulpha is excited by the opportunity to support this growth through a substantial upgrade and expansion of Nesuto Auckand Stadium which is centrally located to Spark Arena, the Auckland CBD and other major Auckland tourist attractions,” said Greg Shaw, CEO Mulpha International.
Mark Ronfeldt added: “Nesuto prides itself on its brand promise of 'stay real'. Its passionate, welcoming and caring team is always at the forefront of guest service, in order to deliver real and genuine experiences. We are proud to be a business that attaches bigger worth to service values than processes.”
“We are investing in the best-in-class technology and outstanding integrated brand training for our teams, in order to ensure our guests have a 'stay real' experience and this is clearly paying off.”
