Experienced hotelier James Sharrock has been named as the General Manager for the Lancemore Crossley St. Hotel set to open next month.
Melbourne's newest boutique hotel is set to have plenty of experience at the helm with Lancemore Hotels announcing James Sharrock as General Manager of its new Crossley Street location.
It's the latest move in a 15-year career that has included stints in a range of hotels and resorts across Australia and Canada.
Originally from Melbourne, Mr Sharrock has held previous roles at the Hayman Island Resort, the Loden Hotel in Vancouver, as well as with Art Series Group in Melbourne and the Accor/Mantra Group.
He said he was looking forward to curating a boutique hotel experience for guests in his new position.
“To be able to join the Lancemore team at such a pivotal time for the group and oversee a Melbourne hotel launch of this calibre is not something you get to be involved in very often," he said.

"Our hotel is positioned in one of the best locations in Melbourne, at the Paris end of Bourke Street, near the Theatre District and Chinatown, and among some of the city’s best restaurants."
Scheduled to open at the end of next month, Lancemore Crossley St. has undergone a $10M transformation at the hands of award-winning design firm Carr to be the seventh hotel in Lancemore’s portfolio, and their first Melbourne CBD property.
The 113-room hotel features five room types for guests to choose from, as well as a "quintessentially Melbourne" rooftop terrace boasting city skyline views
Lancemore CEO, Julian Clark, said he was confident Mr Sharrock would be able to deliver an authentic and personalised Melbourne experience.
“Our new look allows us to connect with customers on every level, from the music they hear, the books in their rooms and the in-room collateral, and we’re excited to showcase this when Lancemore Crossley St. opens,” he said.
