New Zealand's first Park Hyatt Hotel opens its doors in Auckland
Park Hyatt Auckland has officially opened its doors, offering travellers and Aucklanders a new luxurious place to meet, drink and dine in a prime waterfront location.

Hyatt has signalled its return to the New Zealand market with the opening of a new venue in Auckland.
Sitauted on the city's waterfront, Park Hyatt Auckland features four restaurants/bars, a day spa and fitness centre, as well as versatile event spaces.
The architecture of the 195-room hotel is conceptualised as a Māori wharenui (house) – to be a place of gathering that brings families and communities together- and features a design by Ali Reda from ar+d in Singapore, in collaboration with local Bossley Architect.

Park Hyatt Auckland General Manager Brett Sweetman said the project was steeped in the country's rich culture.
"Discerning domestic travellers as well as the local community can expect a host of exciting gastronomic delights and rare culinary moments, delivered with intuitive personalised service,” he said.
“As part of Hyatt’s global care and cleanliness commitment, we have enhanced safety and cleanliness protocols to protect the wellbeing of our colleagues and guests ensuring their peace of mind throughout their stay.”

The hotel’s double-layered exterior echoes a Māori cloak, while the elegant interiors by Conran and Partners pay homage to New Zealand’s indigenous culture and feature Māori artwork specially created by local Kiwi artisans for Park Hyatt Auckland.
Accommodation options range from 47 square metre guestrooms (almost double the size of comparable rooms in the city) to the 245 square metre Presidential Suite.
The 23 suites offer commanding harbour views while the rooftop Presidential Suite features an internal garden and an additional 125 sqm terrace to entertain and soak up the spectacular panoramic vistas.

All 195 guestrooms feature custom-designed beautifully woven Tukutuku panels as featured artworks as well as rugs made from New Zealand wool.
Park Hyatt Auckland also offers a collection of bars and restaurants, with culinary team is led Executive Chef, Brent Martin, a New Zealander who has returned home after an illustrious career spanning six countries and more than 20 years managing restaurants in some of the world’s top hotels.
Other prominent features include more than 1200 square metres of versatile event spaces, meeting rooms and a rooftop bar.
