Langham Hospitality Group announce its appointment of Alison Hulm to the role of Director – Development, Australasia. Ms. Hulm will work from both Melbourne and Sydney and report to Markus Aklin, Vice President – Development, Asia Pacific.

The newly created post will see her tasked with crafting and executing the group’s strategic growth and development plans for the region, with a focus on building its hotel management business and expanding the presence of its iconic brands – The Langham Hotels & Resorts, Cordis Hotels & Resorts, Eaton, and Ying’nFlo. Ms. Hulm will work from both Melbourne and Sydney and report to Markus Aklin, Vice President – Development, Asia Pacific.

Ms. Hulm brings 30 years of successful experience to the role, including a solid background in the areas of hotel and hotel amenities development; development marketing; retail sales strategy; and bar and restaurant management. That background includes four years with InterContinental Hotels Group, where she led the company’s Australasia and Japan Restaurants and Bars division. Ms. Hulm also spent a significant part of her career as a hospitality consultant, as which she served as a key adviser to Moet & Chandon, Compass Group and Waldorf Astoria Sydney. She has additionally held roles with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Accor Group and The Landmark London.
