Manenti Quinlan & Associates announce the successful sale of the Freehold Going Concern of the Motel Royal Tara, Binalong. The transaction was managed by Directors Ray Larkin and Jeremy Cusack of Motel Sales, Manenti Quinlan & Associates.
The property was sold by long-time owners Tom and Marilyn Duffy, who built the motel 35 years ago and have operated it ever since. Set on a generous 12,140m² landholding, the Motel Royal Tara comprises 20 well-appointed units in a brick construction with an iron roof. The property also features a quality on-site restaurant and two large conference rooms, all maintained in excellent condition.
The motel is located in the charming village of Binalong, just off the Hume Highway and within close proximity to Yass and Canberra.
The property was sold via private treaty to Vyas Investment Pty Ltd, who intend to operate the business directly in the near term. The motel was generating a turnover of approximately $570,000 and achieved a yield of 12.5%, reflecting the property’s strong performance and quality presentation.
