The 53-storey hotel and residential tower, to be developed by the Destination Gold Coast Consortium, a joint venture between The Star Entertainment Group, Far East Consortium and Hong Kong-based Chow Tai Fook Enterprises is set to hit the market later this month.
The first mixed use residential apartment and hotel tower of The Star Entertainment Group's redevelopment of Broadbeach Island, The Star Residences is set to hit the market later this month, offering buyers the opportunity to 'live like a star' in a premier international integrated resort.
The project is the second in South East Queensland for the joint venture partners, following their historic endorsement by the Queensland Government to transform Queen’s Wharf Brisbane with a $3 billion integrated resort and residential development.
The new tower will incorporate residential, hotel and retail offerings and is to be developed adjacent to The Star Gold Coast with its existing refurbished five-star hotel, integrated resort amenities and new luxury suite hotel due for completion before the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The tower will feature 423, one and two bedroom residential apartments across the upper 33 levels, in addition to approximately 300, 4.5-star hotel rooms over 13 levels.
One-bedroom apartments will be priced from $467,000. Two bedroom apartments will be priced from $668,500 and publicly launched to the market at the end of this month (September).
Designed by acclaimed architects Cottee Parker, in conjunction with multi-award-winning DBI Design, the luxurious tower includes an exclusive residents' recreation deck on Level 20, featuring a dedicated pool, gymnasium, yoga deck, lounge, private dining and barbeque areas.
The Star Entertainment Group Managing Director Queensland Geoff Hogg said the tower will be a stunning addition to The Star Entertainment Group's transformation of Broadbeach Island. "This is the first residential offering of its kind on the Gold Coast and brings us closer to realising our vision of becoming Australia's leading integrated resort company," he said.
Private Hong Kong investment company, Chow Tai Fook Enterprises, is one of the largest diversified consumer and hospitality companies in Asia, with a proven track record in long-term tourism and infrastructure investments. CEO Patrick Tsang said the company is thrilled to be part of Destination Gold Coast Consortium. "The location and lifestyle on the Gold Coast, coupled with the existing world-class amenity on Broadbeach Island, are extremely attractive assets of the project. Chow Tai Fook Enterprises is delighted to have forged such a strong relationship with The Star Entertainment Group and Far East Consortium and has no doubt The Star Residences Gold Coast will set a benchmark as one of the Gold Coast’s most enviable addresses."
International property developer Far East Consortium, which oversees a portfolio of more than $7 billion, brings its global expertise to the Gold Coast and expects the project to attract significant interest.
"The Star Residences Gold Coast offers an outstanding opportunity to both investors and owner-occupiers who are seeking premium apartments in the heart of the Gold Coast with world-class amenities on their doorstep," said Far East Consortium Executive Director, Craig Williams.
The Star Gold Coast resort on Broadbeach Island covers approximately 6.8 hectares within the Gold Coast waterways at Broadbeach. The existing amenity on the island includes 596 guest rooms within a five-star hotel, a new luxury suite hotel (to be completed before the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games), seven restaurants, four bars, Pavilion Convention Centre, pool, gym, theatre and world-class gaming amenities.
The Star Residences Gold Coast is located on the south-east side of the existing hotel resort complex offering buyers stunning beach and hinterland views.
Construction will commence pending satisfactory apartment pre-sales with an anticipated build time of around 36 months.
