InterContinental Hayman Island Resort has announced the addition of 12 ultra-luxury Beachfront Pavilion suites to deliver an exclusive “adults-only” experience in the heart of the Whitsundays.
Complementing the resort’s award-winning luxury accommodation, the stand-alone Beachfront Pavilions feature a spacious luxury bedroom with separate living area and covered outdoor balcony spilling out to a private heated plunge pool.
Scheduled to open in September 2022, The Pavilions will be positioned as an exclusive adults area of the resort with My Concierge service and access to all that InterContinental Hayman Island Resort has to offer. Guests can enjoy the luxury Hayman Spa, gym and recreation facilities, including a golf simulator, the two iconic swimming pools, Hayman Pool and Infinity Pool, diverse range of dining and bar options, and access to a host of on- and off-island activities.
InterContinental Hayman Island Resort General Manager, Arpad Romandy, said, “The Pavilions are a welcome addition to the resort and cater to the increased demand we have seen for premium suites and elevated luxury experiences. We expect the Pavilions to be very popular with couples and guests seeking privacy in a more secluded area of the resort.
“With their absolute beachfront position, private plunge pool and stand-alone design, the Pavilions offer a new style of luxury accommodation for our guests and will further enhance our award-winning resort.”
Mulpha Australia CEO, Greg Shaw, said, “We are excited that work is nearing completion on this new offering at Australia’s premier island resort, InterContinental Hayman Island Resort. This investment is testament to our confidence and commitment to Australia’s most iconic private island resort destination in the heart of the world-famous Great Barrier Reef.
“While the last two years have had their challenges, it has underlined the value of quality offerings in iconic locations, and there are none better than this. With international borders open, we are thrilled to be welcoming back international guests and have seen pent-up demand lead to strong forward bookings for the remainder of 2022 and in to 2023.”
Owned by Mulpha and managed by IHG Hotels & Resorts, InterContinental Hayman Island Resort underwent a $135 million refurbishment in 2019 and has been expanding its luxury accommodation options to create a new standard for luxury resort travel in the region.
