La Vie Hotels & Resorts is starting the year on a high with the announcement of six new, significant appointments.
Coming off the back of a consolidating 12-months, La Vie welcome Talal Ammari as Regional Director of Sales, South and South East Asia, Justin Furkhan as Group Manager - Business Support and Hotel Openings, Issara Siripaisan as Senior Project and Design Manager, Jacob Batt as Business Development Manager, Mely Liu as Group Business Development Manager and Nicole Burg as Business Development Executive.
Jerry Xu, CEO of La Vie Hotels & Resorts, said the group is forecasting a big 2024 and is pleased to be building out an experienced management team that will spearhead its growth across the region.
“We’re thrilled to be boosting our management team with these six new appointments, some of which are internal promotions, as it underscores our capabilities and puts us in a leading position to be able to deliver to our owners what they desire from an owner centric hotel management company,” Jerry said.
“2024 will see us grow into new areas across Australia and also abroad, so it is important we have the skillset in-house to be able to facilitate our growth while maintaining the highest level of results for our existing stable of owners and partners.”
In his new role as Regional Director of Sales, South and South East Asia based out of Bangkok, Talal Ammari will be responsible for managing all sales functions for South and South East Asia. With nearly two decades of hospitality experience under his belt, his expertise in identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to build revenue and past management experience will be pivotal to his new role.
As a result of La Vie’s continued growth across the Australian and South-East Asian markets, Justin Furkhan has been promoted to the role of Group Manager – Business Support & Hotel Openings where he will lead the pre-opening and conversion processes for all new Hotel Openings. Boasting leadership experience across luxury brands such as The Fullerton and InterContinental, Justin is set to navigate the hotel opening operations, concentrating solely on spearheading the operational efforts as we prepare for the anticipated busyness for 2024 and beyond.
Issara Siripaisan joins La Vie Hotels & Resorts as Senior Project and Design Manager, bringing her extensive knowledge of design processes, construction and hotel standards to the new role. Issara serves as the primary point of contact for renovations, refurbishments, and new greenfield projects across the portfolio. Additionally, she will assist in evaluating potential projects that enhance value for La Vie's clients, anticipating a year focused on refining hotel renovations and conversions.
In addition, La Vie’s Business Development team has grown with the appointment of three new positions. Boasting a diverse background in hospitality, Jacob Batt brings extensive experience to his new role as Business Development Manager which will see him responsible for multiple Australian properties, optimizing daily room revenue, maintaining the highest service standards, championing brand ascendancy and orchestrating occupancy surges to fortify each hotels' vitality.
Seasoned hospitality professional Mely Liu joins the team as Group Business Development Manager with more than a decade of experience across commercial operations, revenue management, reservations, events management and operations. Her new role is focused on developing new sales opportunities and building a robust sales platform whilst managing an assigned client base.
With a wealth of experience across international hotel markets and a guest-focused mindset, Nicole Burg joins as Business Development Executive where she will be responsible for supporting the commercial team, driving La Vie’s strategic vision across multiple properties and segmentation and assisting in the transition of newly acquired properties to the portfolio.
