Whillans have sold more than $5 billion in commercial property since they established in 2010 (see www.whillans.co.nz) and are the driving force behind many of New Zealand’s largest commercial transactions.
Specialising in high-end property deals with a reputation for larger land sales, investment and portfolio sales, Whillans are now seeking a hotel broker to drive their growing hotel and tourism business.
Whillans are not new to the hotel sector having sold The Hilton - Queenstown, The Hotel Debrett – Auckland and Elliot Hotel – Auckland. They are currently marketing a 190 room hotel conversion of the Old Markets Building on Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour and are about to launch a new 225 room Hotel in Auckland.
“We are focused on finding a professional that has a good understanding of the hotel business and is well-connected in the industry, particularly at the top end of the market. Previous sales experience would be an advantage but someone coming out of hotel management, seeking a more flexible, autonomous and rewarding role, could also fit our brief” says Whillans Managing Director, Bruce Whillans.
While the role will be commission based, Whillans will consider tailoring a package to suit, to enable an easy transition into the real estate industry. “We do demand high standards, but our brokers are well-rewarded for their efforts and are achieving between $250,000 - $1.5m NZD per year” says Whillans.
