Pro-invest Group is proud to announce that as part its CARE Program – Creating Accessible Roles & Experiences – they have formed a partnership with MAX Employment, one of the largest providers of employment services in Australia, to create more inclusive job opportunities for people with disabilities. The partnership is an extension of the group’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, and will help fill roles across its network.
“Pro-invest is committed to providing meaningful work opportunities for people of all abilities and we are proud to utilise the expertise of MAX Employment to identify suitable candidates for roles across our hotel network,” said Jan Smits, Pro-invest’s Deputy Chair and CEO APAC. “We believe a diverse workplace is a better workplace for all and with 18% of Australians living with a disability of some sort, we hope this program will enable us to better address the needs of our guests who are differently abled.”
Darren Hooper, Managing Director of MAX Employment said: “As Australia’s leading independent hotel operator, Pro-invest Group shares our mission to empower people with disabilities to achieve their employment goals. We applaud them on this initiative, which will enable Pro-invest to find the best possible candidate for a wide range of jobs and will also make guests who have a disability feel more welcome.”
Firmly committed to Environmental, Social and Governance issues, Pro-invest is focused on setting new benchmarks in social responsibility, with a range of programs designed to foster inclusion, diversity and equality across the industry.
Other programs within its ESG strategy include:
RISE – Reaching Inclusion through Scholarships and Experiences, in collaboration with Southern Cross University and The Hotel School Australia, which offers scholarships in tourism and hospitality to students from low socio-economic backgrounds;
The Pro-Women Leadership Alliance - which is aimed at increasing the number of women in leadership roles across the industry by supporting the professional growth of women. Through mentoring, networking events, and targeted training, Pro-invest is actively working towards greater equality.
Radiate with Pride – which is aimed to creating safe spaces without discrimination for both guests and employees. This program aligns with the Welcome Here Project, that includes training and safe space certification to ensure that everyone across the LGBTQ+ community feels welcomed and celebrated.
Anthony Ursino, General Counsel of Pro-invest Group says, “We are deeply committed to promoting diversity, inclusion, and opportunity for everyone, and to ensuring that our teams reflect the rich diversity of our guests and partners. Our ESG ethos is brought to life by our 'One Earth, Countless Experiences' ethos, which ensures that social responsibility is deeply embedded in every part of our business.”
