TFE Hotels has announced several key leadership appointments at the newly refurbished Adina Town Hall Sydney, ahead of its February 2025 opening. The 144-room hotel is currently in the throes of a top-to-basement transformation at the hands of award-winning design firm, Bates Smart.

Fresh from a cluster role overseeing Adina Apartment Hotel Surry Hills and Rendezvous Hotel The Rocks, TFE stalwart, Francis Di Mattina, returns to Adina Town Hall Sydney as General Manager.

With almost 20 years of experience to his name - from managing the refurbishment of Travelodge Hotel Martin Place (where he first started), to Hotel Manager roles at Adina Norwest and Adina Surry Hills - Francis is a well-respected leader in TFE’s operation.

TFE’s Regional General Manager NSW/ACT, Emma Soutter, said Francis’ success in driving strong results and his tremendous support and coaching his peers had led to his return to Adina Town Hall.

“Through this tenure at TFE, Francis has overseen the closure of Adina Martin Place and was exceptional in the organisation of the ACT/NSW Relief Team through very challenging periods,” Soutter said. “Francis is a go-to for many operations leaders and we look forward to seeing Francis take this next step leading this major scale project and repositioning of the asset.”

Francis will be ably supported by Tristan Carey in the Executive Assistant Manager role. Tristan's journey with TFE began as a Food and Beverage Supervisor at Vibe Hotel Sydney. Over the years, Tristan has transitioned into rooms division roles, most recently as Assistant Hotel Manager at Adina Bondi Beach and in the NSW/ACT relief team.

According to Emma, Tristan's support and dedication played a key role in the success and performance of the operations he works in.
