JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group is delighted to announce the freehold going concern interest in the Jolly Swagman Hotel Motel sold by JLL Hotels Executive, Greg Jeloudev.
JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group is delighted to announce the successful sale of the freehold going concern interest in the Jolly Swagman Hotel Motel located within the NSW/QLD boarder town of Mungindi.
Affectionately known as ‘The Jolly’, the venue has been operated by popular local Jim Brown for over 20 years. After a long tenure, Mr Brown cited the buoyed market as the catalyst to sell the asset.
The hotel occupies a 2,023sqm site on a prominent corner position, approximately 250 meters from the state border. Being the only pub in town, the business enjoys strong local patronage attracting a healthy mix of circa $30,000+ per week, underpinned by 4 gaming machine entitlements and a 1:30am licence. The venue also includes 6 highly occupied motel-style accommodation rooms.
JLL Hotels Executive, Greg Jeloudev, facilitated the transaction which was conducted in an off market private treaty process. The venue was sold to experienced private publicans who add ‘The Jolly’ to their regional hotel portfolio.
Mr Jeloudev noted, “Regional hotels continue to appeal to investors due to greater returns and the ability to diversify portfolio structures. Venues with gaming machine entitlements, accommodation rooms and strong takeaway sales continue to be highly sought.”
The sale of ‘The Jolly’ continues to demonstrate JLL’s strong presence in regional NSW, with further announcements to be made in the coming weeks.
JLL thanks Mr Brown for entrusting the firm with this important mandate and congratulate the purchasers on their new acquisition.
