Sydney hotel Icon The Crossroads Hotel sold to former Sydney Lord Mayor and philanthropist Nelson Meers AO. The Crossroads Hotel Casula Sydney hotel sold in an off market deal negotiated exclusively by leading agents Andrew Jolliffe and Dan Dragicevich of HTL Property.
Former Sydney Lord Mayor and philanthropist, Nelson Meers AO, has acquired the Crossroads Hotel in Sydney’s South-Western Suburb of Casula.
The Crossroads Hotel, a Sydney hotel icon, was sold in an off market deal negotiated exclusively by leading agents Andrew Jolliffe and Dan Dragicevich of HTL Property.
Operating with the benefit of an expansive blend of food, beverage, accommodation and gaming revenues, the hotel occupies a powerful corner site in the fastest growing LGA in NSW.
Set to benefit prosperously from the activation of the Badgery’s Creek airport, the Hotel presents itself at the virtual gateway between Sydney and the State’s South West.
“This is a key strategic acquisition for our company, with the hotel’s highly successful food and beverage model serving over 4,000 dining experiences each week” advised Nelson Meers Group CEO, Simon Meers.
“We are very excited to continue to serve this growing, vibrant and broad community as we look to expand this type of high quality offering across our hotel network” Meers added.
Operating at 74% market share, in 2021 HTL Property managed the sale of the two largest deals of the year nationally in the form of David Gyngell’s Hotel Brunswick, and the Stanford family’s Vineyard Hotel.
The Hotel is believed to be a record sale price for a Sydney pub at $160 million.
With the specialist firm reporting transactional activity in 2022 being on track with the record setting 100 hotels sold in NSW in 2021.
"The materiality of the Crossroads Hotel sale recalibrates values across the national hotel landscape, and promotes a momentum that will see up to $1bn worth of sales concluded in the last quarter of this Financial Year alone” concluded HTL Property’s Managing Director, Andrew Jolliffe.
