The Perisher Manor ski hotel is being offered for sale after 45 years ownership and operation by the same family.
Forbes Stynes Prestige Property Sales’ Michelle Stynes is marketing the property via tender closing Friday 26th August.
Perisher Manor occupies a gently sloping site of about 5,376 square metres and is pursuant to a lease from the New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife Service.
The property is located in the Perisher Ski Resort which is the largest ski resort in the southern hemisphere and conveniently situated adjacent to the “Village 8 Express” eight seat chairlift which boasts the largest lifting capacity in Australia.
Perisher Manor is a commercial ski hotel offering facilities for all types of guests from avid skiers and snow boarders to guests just wanting a holiday in the mountains with the family.
Every room is heated and carpeted throughout, includes tea and coffee making facilities. some rooms have a flat-screen TV, a lounge area or a desk, guests can also dine at the base 1,720 bar and restaurant.
The establishment is an impressive and spacious ski hotel with a building area of approximately 3,533 square metres.
There are 59 rooms with their own bathrooms includes staff quarters The ground floor of the Perisher Manor – incorporates the High Ground Cafe which is Ski-in Ski-out, there is also another entrance foyer and drying room on this level which lead you up into the hotel facilities.

Located in the Australian Snowy Mountains, the resort is an amalgamation of four villages (Perisher Valley, Smiggin Holes, Guthega, and Blue Cow) and their associated ski fields, covering approximately 12 square kilometres.

Ms Styes said Perisher was acquired by Vail Resorts, United States on 30 March 2015 for a sum of approximately AU$177 million. Perisher is the largest alpine resort with 245 hectares of terrain to ride. The resort is accessible by road and by the Ski tube from Jindabyne, Australia’s only underground rack railway.
“The main skiing period is in July and August, with the official season running from the second weekend in June to the first weekend of October. Perisher consists of 47 lifts: The Village Eight Express, an eight-seater chairlift (built in 2003), two high-speed quad detachable chairlifts, five fixed-grip quad chairlifts, four double chairlifts, two triple chairlifts, 21 T-Bars, three J-bars, seven ski carpets, and 2 rope tows,” Ms Stynes said.
