One of the capital region’s most loved winery venues has hit the market with a price tag that presents enormous value.

Listing agent Frank Walmsley from Auction Advantage said the well-known property presents an exceptional lifestyle and business opportunity.

“Lake George Winery has rarely been offered for sale over its 50-year history, and in 2023 the current owner is ready to exit following a change in family circumstances and are seeking a new owner who will love this regional icon as much as they have done,” he said.

Up to 120 restaurant guests can enjoy a meal prepared in the fully-equipped kitchen from the dining room, which features rustic polished floorboards, an open fireplace and large windows overlooking the vineyard. Downstairs from the dining room is the wine cellar and museum, a more intimate space with a rock wall and subtle lighting which can seat another 50 diners.

Established in the vineyards are 11 different varieties. Lake George wines have won several accolades over the years, including TOPGOLD for its Chardonnay at Canberra Region Wine Show and a 4.5-star venue rating by wine reviewer James Halliday.
