Local Mandurah publican Garry Miller has sold the Brighton Hotel in Mandurah, a modern waterfront venue overlooking the Mandurah foreshore, during the COVID-19 lockdown.

The Brighton Hotel, located at 12 Mandurah Terrace, is a purpose-built tavern and restaurant on a 1,300sqm landholding offering north-west estuary views. The venue includes a restaurant, rear public bar and courtyard and upstairs function area – all of which capitalise on outstanding views.

CBRE Hotels’ Ryan McGinnity negotiated the sale of the venue, saying it was an opportune time for the purchaser to take over the venue.

Mr McGinnity told WILLIAMS MEDIA,“the Brighton Hotel will be operated by a local operator who has a number of other restaurants and bars in Mandurah.”

“Purchased by a Perth based syndicate the hotel will be operated by a local Mandurah Group. The operator foresees a repositioning of the hotel and plan on reopening of the waterfront venue once plans are finalised and trading restrictions lifted.

“The Brighton Hotel is well-established and was generating a consistent weekly revenue prior to its closure on the back of the COVID-19 restrictions – it’s expected to quickly regain traction as tourists and holiday homeowners flock to Mandurah over the July school holidays and months ahead, as lockdowns ease and venue capacities start to increase,” Mr McGinnity said.

Mr McGinnity went onto say that this was the first walk-in, walk-out pub sale in WA since the closure of venues on 23 March.
