Hotel industry body Tourism Accommodation Australia has commended the NSW Government on increasing the attendance for conferences to 300 people.
The move to double conference sizes to 300 people in NSW from next month is expected to provide certainty to larger hotels in the Sydney CBD that are still "doing it tough", Tourism Accommodation Australia says.
The NSW Government announced on Friday that corporate events will be able to host up to twice as many people as previously permitted from October 1, provided all attendees were seated.
It comes after the state reported three consecutive days of no community transmission.

TAA NSW CEO Michael Johnson told WILLIAMS MEDIA it was a positive announcement for a CBD market that had not experienced the same recent uptick as its regional counterpart.
"There has certainly been a two-speed recovery happening," he said.
"Our regional members in coastal destinations are reporting some very good numbers, particularly with school holidays, but the sorry side of it is the CBD market which is still doing it very tough.

"This announcement means we can start to see some of the conferences that organisers had held off on setting a date for actually take place."
“This is especially good news in the lead up to Christmas and accommodation providers are hopeful many events previously on hold will now get the green light."
There could be more good news for the country's hotel industry in the coming months, with New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Arden telling state broadcaster TVNZ there was a possibility of trans-Tasman travel before Christmas.
Mr Johnson said welcoming New Zealand travellers before the end of the year would be "major coup" for Sydney's hotels.
"Sydney would most likely act as gateway for the travel bubble, so its hotels would really benefit."
