Tuscany Villas is a very substantial two storey Italian-style complex, with a grand, high walled entrance and drive through to a second street exit with an automatic gate.

Construction (early 2000) is of pre-cast concrete slab floors, textured finish exterior and Diamondek roofing and is maintained to a very high standard both inside and out. The exterior was newly painted just 3 years ago.

All suites are beautifully presented with new carpeting, interior painting, new bedding snd new air condition units installed within the last 2 years.

Wrought iron balconies on the upper level and attractive plantings offer a definite feel of Tuscany.

The conference room is one of the few available in the CBD area and caters for 50 theatre style or 25 for boardroom option. It is serviced by a spacious kitchen, breakout area, on site toilets and has the usual TV/data projector facilities.

A full breakfast kitchen is conveniently located next to the spacious reception and a sizeable laundry area adjoins the guest laundry.

The Tuscany Villas are truly CBD and just a minute from the wharf/river area where tourists gather for tours to the world renowned ‘active volcano’ experience of White Island, whale watching and deep sea fishing trips.

A minute along the road is the very unique Mataatua meeting house – the wharenui that travelled the world for 130 years before being brought home. It is a wonderful tourist experience.

Whakatane itself is the gateway to the unspoiled East Cape and is the eastern point of the tourism triangle of Rotorua, Tauranga and Whakatane.
